OUR STORY

Our Story

The journey to Oaks of Hope International began in 2018 when the founder, Dr. Toyin Fadeyibi, received divine inspiration to create a Devotional Coloring Book for women in desperate need of hope. This idea was solidified as she volunteered with her local church at a homeless shelter and with another ministry that visited strip clubs monthly to share God’s love. These precious moments with women who often felt unseen, unloved, and unworthy moved her to create “Worthy! – A 52-Week Devotional Coloring Book” for women seeking hope.

The driving force behind this creation was the desire to offer a beautiful and engaging resource that would extend beyond momentary interactions, infusing hope into their souls in an accessible, relatable, and transformative way. The stories of women who thrived beyond trauma, pain, and abuse served as reminders that their current season of suffering would not last forever. Since the initial release of “Worthy!,” additional resources with the same vision have been developed, collectively reaching a diverse audience. These include women incarcerated in Nigeria, at-risk teenage girls in a Philadelphia school, hundreds of women working in strip clubs across New Jersey, Minnesota, and Philadelphia, women in addiction treatment centers, and abused or at-risk youth in Lagos, Nigeria, among others.

What began as a single book, “Worthy!,” has now grown into Oaks of Hope International, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, 6 years later. Its mission is to reach the farthest corners of the world with resources intentionally designed to ignite faith, infuse hope, and cultivate deep spiritual transformation for girls and women devastated by hopelessness. By equipping organizations that serve these women—such as addiction treatment centers, prisons, nonprofits, religious organizations, homeless shelters, and domestic violence safe havens— Oaks of Hope’s resources will provide essential emotional and spiritual nourishment. This nourishment – powered by the Word of God! – will transform the acorns of hope planted in their hearts into mighty oaks of hope!
